With an insatiable tenacity, Dr. Doris Baker-Ortiz has gone 37 years in the health and sciences profession basing on making well thought-out decisions. For the past 21 years as chief executive officer at Baker de’ Ortiz Academic & Career Consultants, she provides expert consulting services and assistance for adults to help them attain a GED certificate. As a firm believer in education, she has earned a Ph.D. in psychology, divinity, counseling, and science mathematics. Dr. Baker-Ortiz has written three books and spends her free-time supporting Grassroots.org.

The organization that has made a big inpact for Dr. Baker-Ortiz in her profession is Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and the social network it provides.  She says it’s not as fun of an organization as a Grass Roots Organization, but Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. is founded on faith, need, and sisterhood of seven women who found themselves like a fish out of water.  They sought education, they had to find a network within college, and safety to go off campus. In five years, Dr. Baker-Ortiz intends to assist individuals in achieving their lifelong goals.
