Carol Ketelson became involved in her profession because she was working for a meeting management company that organized conferences in the medical field worldwide. She was exposed to some really beautiful locations and made connections with people in the culinary world. After traveling herself and experiencing more of the beauty of the Amalfi Coast, she was inspired by others to make a career/business out of it. She wanted do what she loves and bring others along with her, so she opened the travel agency, Delectable Destinations. It was Ms. Ketelson’s dream to visit Italy ever since she could remember. Growing up in Montreal, Canada, she had read about Italy and heard about the wonders of the country from friends and family who had been there, but it wasn’t until 2000 that she got to experience the incredible Italian culture for herself.

Ms. Ketelson’s first trip to the region landed her in Ravello; a small, quaint, Amalfi Coast cliffside town that offered more beauty and splendor than she could almost take in one trip. She immediately knew that she was home. In the years that followed, she embraced new adventures that would take her from the far North near Lake Como to the charming canals of Venice, through the winding countryside of Tuscany and the splendors of Rome. Her love for southern Italy grew and she continued to go back time and time again to areas such as Porto Fino and to the tip of the south where the breathtaking waters of the Mediterranean Sea meet the magnificent scenic cliffs of the ‘Costiera Amalfitana.’ She has traveled far and wide beyond Italy and it is these particular trips that have sparked new passions within her. France is among these destinations — a beautiful country that offers spectacular food travel tours, art, culture, and endless wonders. She has a unique perspective on native culture, local cuisine, and the intimate leisure opportunities that each region has to offer that one simply cannot obtain through books and travel reviews.
