Celebrating her first year as an independent registered nurse, Diane Bruen brings 25 years of health care experience to her current consulting position. As she had recently completed a Master of Science in nursing at Winona State University, she also provides duties as a CCRN with an expertise and cardiac surgical nursing. In five years, Ms. Bruen intends to practice as an acute care nurse practitioner.

Throughout her work-week, Ms. Bruen provides care for pediatric cardiac transplant patients. She attributes her professional and educational success to her passion and drive to become an excellent health care professional. Initially, Ms. Bruen became involved in her profession through her childhood interest in health care, remembering from an early age that she always played with others as if she were the nurse.

Since graduation, Mr. Bruen finds it resourcful to keep abreast of changes in her professional endavours through her memberships with Sigma Theta Tau International and American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. During her free-time, she supports the American Cancer Society and American Heart Society.
