She was born in Argentina and moved to Mexico in 1998, leaving behind the foundation of the first school of coaching acknowledged by the secretary of education. Dr. Espinal has worked with people from different cultures, including indigenous people, in more than 30 countries of all continents. Her work extends to individuals and organizations, specifically Europe, Kenya and Tanzania, Israel, India and China. Additionally, Dr. Espinal speaks English and Spanish, and has some understanding of French, Italian and Portuguese. Team Power is the first company in the world forming blind coaches, and closing the gap by creating a company for them to work. The company already has 14 blind coaches, and they are beginning to work in companies as coaches. Team Power will be beginning a second group this year.
There were several highlights that stood our throughout her career – all of which were products of vision and commitment with transformation. One of her career highlights was founding the ICP in 1998. Another was coaching and being acknowledged as a profession in Argentina, which was a good beginning. She also worked for the Public Service of Canada, with the first leadership program, inspired in coaching from 1998 to 2001, which was a big breakthrough that involved and touched a great part of the employees. She is very proud of what the company is doing now with blind people, and working with them in a company called Coaching con Vision. This project is a way of closing the gap between generating professionals and opening markets for their work, and it is bringing dignity to their lives.
Dr. Espinal attributes her success to her dedication and passion for the work that she does. Because of her background in ontological coaching, she observes the coach as a possibility, as well as his/her vision and goals. This attitude generates trust, even when the coach has to stretch between what is today and what is wanted for the future. She leads and follows by the motto: ‘you can go farther, you can do more.’ This model allows the coaches to look for what is missing or manage the unexpected, instead of using justifications and excuses for what is not possible. She creates long lasting relationships, combining her expertise in coaching with her experience working inside companies, which provided her with a sense of business. In the coming years, Dr. Espinal would like to be known in other countries for her coaching abilities and writing. ‘Ecology of the Time to Come’ is ready to be on the market. She is inspired to influence the society to create peace through respecting each other’s differences and coordinating actions.
