An IWLA member since 2013, Jamie Hammond began her career in 1994 within the Bill Nye the Science Guy Series as coordinating producer. For nearly five years, she helped with 100 episodes for public television and 100 re-versioned for commercial syndication, as the only television series to be broadcast on PBS and in commercial syndication concurrently. However, Ms. Hammond quickly moved on and fit into an executive producer position at West 175 & Biz Kid$ in 1999, and continues there today.

There, Ms. Hammond co-produces Second Opinion, currently in its twelfth season on public television nationally, educating and encouraging viewers to take charge of their health. It’s actually the only medical series that was given CME status by the AMA for medical professionals. Ms. Hammon has also produced many other series including Master Chef, Cucina Amore, Great Food, Cucina Toscana, World of Wildlife, and Cucina Sicilia.

Ms. Hammond has received 13 National Emmy nominations and awarded two Emmy’s for outstanding Open and Graphics in 2009 and Outstanding Single Camera Editing in 2013. Received the Parent’s Choice Gold Award in 2013 and the Environmental Media Award for Outstanding Children’s Series in 2009. BizKid$ has produced 65 episodes to date and airs nationally on PBS and in Syndication and internationally around the world. Ms. Hammond specifically is an expert in realty, entertainment, film and video production, distribution strategies, and production budgeting.
