Mrs. Sandra Fontana would have never expected to have fallen into the manufacturing industry 22 years ago. Initially, she admittedly got lucky, did not have an extensive education, worked hard, and built up a good reputation in the marketplace. Now, Mrs. Fontana is in her 15^th year at the disposable restaurant supply manufacturer, Rofson Associates, Inc., providing her seasoned expertise in organizational management. In five years, Mrs. Fontana hopes to experience continued professional growth within the company and also continue to find the most cost-effective ways to help the business and manufacturers expand while continuing to offer quality services and products.

Throughout her work-wee, Mrs. Fontana oversees six employees, manages accounts payable and receivable, handles negotiations, conducts purchasing, interfaces with distributors, discusses new products, and oversees all the quality control. She also reports to the president and ensure the business is running effectively and efficiently. She attributes her success to her hard work, communication skills, dedication, understanding the expectations of her boss, and having her father in the military. Initially, she became involved in her profession through her experience in the field. Mrs. Fontana’s advice to younger women entering the workforce is, “Fix problems from the inside out.  All jobs have their problems and the grass is always greener.  Come up with suggestions to make things better, persevere.”
