Master and Bachelor of Science graduate of The Ohio State University, Patty Dyer continues in her field of study, agricultural education and agronomy, in a multitude of facets. Currently, she is the USDA-NRCS area grassland specialist, assisting landowners in a nine-county area to improve their grazing management practices to improve their economic return and reduce potential pollution and runoff issues with their operations. Ms. Dyer has been with the USDA-NRCS since 1983, and has been developing conservation plans and assisting farmers in the planning and implementation of conservation practices for more than 30 years.
Ms. Dyer is also the proud president of the Ohio Grange Charitable Foundation; a traditional grange has mostly farm-families, involving two parents, two kid families, but under her leadership, they’ve inter cities families, special needs, and bigger families in a wide array. She once had a boy in the grange whose family and others said he would never perform in front of people and I helped him break out of his shell, but performed for Ms. Dyer, got over his fear, and has been performing ever since. Her passion and ability to provide various attributes and skills pushes Ms. Dyer to work harder for her people.
