With an irresistible personality and hard work, Dr. Marie Aja-Herrera now serves in her 16^th year as a professor of fashion design at The Savannah College of Art & Design. Honing in on 26 years of expertise in women’s and active wear, she provides the college with outstanding art and design educational services. Throughout the work-wee, she supervises the senior students on a six outfit collection. Dr. Aja-Herrera also provides input to graduate students regarding master’s thesis, writes articles periodically, and attends various conferences and lectures.

Dr. Aja-Herrera received an honorary Ph.D. from the Polimoda International Institute of Fashion Design and Marketing in 2006. In 1995 she received a master’s degree in design studies from the University of Fine Arts, which was fifteen years after she became a Master of Fashion Design from the University of Kracow. During her free-time, Dr. Aja-Herrera supports the University College Hospital, UK and Habitat for Humanity International.
