Ruth Hittel initially became involved in her profession because she is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children. Now, she continues to season her expertise in offering quality Catholic education as a principal at Holy Cross Central School.  Having already graduated from Notre Dame University with a master’s degree in educational administration in 2005, Ms. Hittel intends to complete a doctorate and continue to grow professionally.

Throughout her work-week, Ms. Hittel handles the leadership, teacher evaluation, student discipline, student scheduling, activity calendars, and special programs. She also takes steps to implement programs that will increase student achievement and assists in the day-to-day activities of the school. During her free-time, Ms. Hittel supports her students’ service projects, and various neighborhood charities.
