Upon receiving an MD from Meharry Medical College in 1981, Dr. Jennifer Harper began her career in the medical profession. Through the inspiration of her father and sister (both physicians), she gained a passion for the field throughout the years, and recently finished her professional time-line with Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. There, Dr. Harper provided expertise in obstetrics, gynecology, and minimally-invasive robotic-assisted surgery.
When she was serving Holy Cross Hospital as a practicing physician, Dr. Harper also provided education to the Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami as an adjunct professor. Throughout the years, she has earned distinctions such as Leading Physician of the World through International Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Top Doctor through Castle Connolly, and executive of the year through Elite American Executives. In five years, Dr. Harper intends to survive the transition to electronic medical records and expand her clinical goals, as well as keep up with new technology and trends.
Dr. Harper earned her MD following her Bachelor of Arts at Fisk University, and having pursued graduate coursework at Atlanta University. She is also a board certified member of American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a board member of Gilda’s Club South Florida. During her free-time, Dr. Harper supports civil rights events, the Haiti Earthquake Relief, and local public schools.
