Initially, Ms. Montoya became involved in her profession because she realized her calling to help others. One of Ms. Montoya’s first jobs in Peru was as a coordinator for all the departments of DDB Needham Worldwide Peru, which is an advertising agency with an office headquarters located in New York City. Adriana also served as the director of marketing in Peru for Vistana Resorts, known now as Starwood. Ms. Montoya attributes her success to the blessings she has received from God.
Ms. Montoya reported directly to Orlando, Florida, and was considered one of the best directors of marketing in Latin America as the Broker in Peru for Westgate Resorts, in Peru, she reported directly to the international division in Orlando, Florida, as well. Ms. Montoya was also previously a marketing executive for Carnival Casinos, a division of Carnival Cruises. In this role, she was involved in the company’s operations in Peru, working and reporting directly to the international division in the United States. Additionally, she served as the director of marketing for Bates World wide’s Peru office, whose headquarters are based in New York City. The marketing department was known as Below the Line Marketing. Ms. Montoya was considered a pioneer in Peru due to her previous experience in marketing. She brought many well-known global clients, including Telefonica, Motorola, Iridium and Hewlett-Packard to the firm in her first three months with the company.
While she was a leader in Peru, Ms. Montoya managed 60 people at the same time. Among these people were directors, managers, supervisors, executives and administration employees. She treats the people she manages with respect, and always has time to listen to their feedback, regardless of their role or position. What matters to Ms. Montoya is providing a better customer service through building strength in the team and company to achieve the company’s mission and vision as an organization. In five years, Ms. Montoya will continue with her global expansion opening more international offices.
Although Ms. Montoya’s mother’s ancestors belong to European royalty, Ms. Montoya prefers to keep this confidential for security reasons, and lives a regular and humble life sharing with the community how to be more spiritual an less materialistic, following God’s commandments. Her ancestors were victims of religious prosecution for being Sephardi Jews. In 1492, they were sent to exile in the biggest Jewish diaspora in history. To protect their lives, they were required to be encrypted Jews for centuries under the flags of Catholics. About three years ago, the king of Spain asked for forgiveness from all the Sephardi Jews in the world. She took the king’s forgiveness and meditated for two years. This year, Ms. Montoya decided to forgive the Catholic king of Spain, and accepted his invitation to go back to Spain. She has decided not to be an encrypted Jew any more, and she doesn’t have anymore fear of religious prosecution. She is a proud Sephardi Jew, and she will honor her ancestors by opening a branch of the National American Outreach Foundation in Spain as part of the global vision of the organization to help the Jewish and other communities in need, in the world.
